VIDEO: Crochet Troubleshooting: how to keep straight sides

A common issue with beginning crocheters is "wonky" sides in their crochet fabric. You too? No worries, you are not alone! This is usually due to gaining and/or loosing stitches in each row. In the video, I address the most common reasons why this happens and how you can have straight sides.

VIDEO: How to hold the yarn and crochet hook

The first step in learning crochet is how to hold the yarn and hook. Truly there is no right or wrong way, just whatever method keeps consistent yarn tension and ease of movement for your hook. In this video, I show you 4 yarn holds and 2 hook holds. Try them all and experiment with the ways you see other crocheters do it too.
