Beginning Crochet classes offered in Alma, Nebraska

Do you have a New Year's Resolution to learn to crochet?

Beginning Crochet 
~ The Basics ~


JANUARY 15
Session 1: FOUNDATION CHAIN and SINGLE CROCHET STITCH. We will also cover ways to hold the yarn and crochet hook, making a slip knot, and how to read a pattern. 

JANUARY 22
Session 2: HALF DOUBLE STITCH and DOUBLE STITCH. We will also cover an alternative way to make a foundation row than was taught in session 1 and a simple edging technique.

JANUARY 29
Session 3: TREBLE STITCH, SLIP STITCH, and WORKING IN THE ROUND (Granny Square). We will also cover a third way to make a foundation row than was taught in sessions 1 and 2, finding the right gauge for a pattern, and understanding yarn types and weights. The students will choose a project to work on in the next session.

FEBRUARY 5
Session 4: READING A STITCH DIAGRAM, CHANGING COLOR, and FINISHING OFF. Students will work on their selected project with the instructor.

Wednesdays ~ 6:00-7:30pm ~ Main Street Variety, 722 W Main St, Alma, NE

Each session is $15.
